Who am I?

My name is Amar and I enjoy working on hard ML problems.

I studied Molecular Biology and Biological Computing at UCLA. I had applied and got accepted into multiple medical schools, but I turned down my offers to instead work on startups in SF.

My background was originally in building ML imaging models for cancer detection in histopathology and radiology at a few labs at UCLA Health.

Afterwards, I was the founding engineer of Bifrost (now ion) working on an LLM based typescript compiler to go from Figma to React.

After I won ArenaX, I founded Nexavision and Nexaodds, where we use computer vision to track player movements in professional basketball, transform the data into analytics, and sell it to NBA teams while also leveraging it to develop winning sports betting models.

I've also done some work with building large scale image and video diffusion models at Lexica.

Lately, I have been working at Inference.net at the Head of AI. We have been doing some exciting work with training enterprise LLMs, along with some open source projects. Check out my twitter to see the latest of what I have been up to!
